In a world where the boundary between human ingenuity and artificial intelligence blurs daily, AI has struck another groundbreaking chord. Now, it has demonstrated a capability to match the top 1% of human thinkers on a standard test for creativity, as per a study from the University of Montana and collaborating entities. The Torrance Tests of Creative Thinking (TTCT), a revered and time-tested measure of creativity, served as the yardstick for this research. With criteria evaluating fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration, the TTCT offers a comprehensive assessment of creative thinking. Eight responses from the AI model, ChatGPT, were compared against 24 responses from students at the University of Montana.
